Job Description:

• Develop partnerships with key decision makers at client level
• Responsible for the sales and service of existing accounts/agencies
• Create copy and promotions for clients to develop and/or maximize market share of new potential revenue opportunities
• Develop strategies that will increase advertising rates
• Get competitive information on all buys
• Responsible for collections of account assigned
• Responsible for maintaining all aspects of product knowledge
• Communicate with all departments in the developing and completion of revenue
• Responsible for maintaining a daily/weekly/monthly sales plan related to the tracking, results and quality of business
• Develop strategies that will generate business with major accounts
• Exemplify a positive image for the station and CBS Radio and demonstrate a team effort
• Responsible for daily workflow that maximizes time management
• Develop web revenue through needs-based analysis meeting w/traditional & non-traditional advertisers
• Enhance existing revenue & develop non-radio advertisers utilizing CBS Radio digital resources
• Provide clients with multi-platform packages to incorporate both radio & digital assets
• Must possess understanding of digital and online sales & have ability to educate & sell potential cients on CBS Radio's digital assets

Required Skills/Experience

Successful candidates must possess exceptional communication, presentation and negotiation skills. They must be self-motivated, goal driven and creative, with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. All employees are expected to bring a positive attitude to the work place and be cheerful, cooperative and productive. In addition, the right candidate must have:

• Prior 1-2 years experience in sales and/or digital marketing; previous radio sales experience preferred.
• Must also have basic knowledge of MS Office products, i.e. MS Word and Windows environment
• Must have a valid driver's license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance

Preferred Skills/Experience

•College preferred
•Previous radio sales experience or other media sales

Additional Candidate Instructions

Candidate must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation with insurance that meets or exceeds company standards.
