Responsible for maintaining and optimizing the performance and reliability of network systems at KTLA. Responsible for local IT security policies and compliance. Lead the day to day tasks to ensure the reliability, availability, and serviceability of the network systems with minimal down time. Designs, plans, and installs new network systems, expansion of current systems, or upgrade of current systems for both hardware and software. Responsible for the development of documentation of KTLA’s network topology. Leads the IT team to provide technical support and customer support to all users. Develop strategies for monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting the network systems.
Five years of work experience in networked computer support. Knowledge of current Windows OS, Windows Server OS, and Apple IOS. Knowledge of network switches such as Cisco and Juniper. Two to three years of experience with hardware and software troubleshooting & installation; application management; network printing & print server maintenance. Problem-solving and analytical skills are essential. Good communication skills are required, including documentation & follow-up. Knowledge of broadcast systems and networking. Must be willing to work evenings and/or weekends.
