KOMO is home to KOMO-TV, KOMO AM and FM, KUNS, KVI, and Our Network Operation Center, a 24x7 operational facility where programming is switched, processed, routed, and monitored. This internship is an opportunity for you to work in each of these areas and learn about television and radio operations and engineering in depth. There are several on-going engineering projects and systems installations that you can be involved in during the course of the internship. We expect you to contribute to projects that are in design, installation or commissioning phases.

You will be expected to be creative and bring new ideas to projects that are in the design process. During the program, you will have the opportunity to work on equipment such as automation software, virtual machines, networking equipment, video processing equipment, video switchers, video encoders, audio mixers and routers, bidirectional microwave equipment and transmission equipment. Some of this work will occur while you accompany our seasoned Engineers at our offsite tower locations.

Requirements:

A junior, senior, or recent graduate who is enrolled in an Engineering, Electronics or Communications program at an accredited school that includes a strong emphasis on technology.
