Job Description:
KUSA-TV, the TEGNA owned NBC affiliate in Denver, CO is seeking a Broadcast Technology Engineer to maintain and support all media distribution platforms, including but not limited to broadcast technology & operations. KUSA is a visionary media hub unlike like any other local TV station. We work hard every day to bring a high level of customer service to our internal clients. This position requires an engineer with great people skills and a desire to work in a flexible environment. The ideal candidate can balance multiple ongoing projects while addressing the immediate maintenance needs of a 24/7 operation. We support a large local tv station, numerous corporate business units and a national television show. Responsibilities:
Support critical broadcast/IT systems
Provide desktop support
Maintain broadcast automation and playout systems
Support news editing and scripting systems/software
Support building/physical plant systems as needed
Provide remote site and transmitter support
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
In-depth knowledge of broadcast technologies including; IT, Transmitters, Antennas, Broadcast Switchers, Router Systems, ENG and DSNG Transmissions, Field Cameras, Signal Path Workflows
Working knowledge of other technologies including; Camera Robotics Controls, Information Technology Infrastructure, VOIP Phone Systems
Demonstrated strong leadership, team management, and has excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated strong project management experience
Ability to work well in a team environment and make quick decisions under pressure
Must be able to work a flexible schedule in support of a 24x7x365 operation with assigned on-call schedule
