Job Description:

KUSA-TV, the TEGNA owned NBC affiliate in Denver, CO is seeking a Broadcast Technology Engineer to maintain and support all media distribution platforms, including but not limited to broadcast technology & operations. KUSA is a visionary media hub unlike like any other local TV station. We work hard every day to bring a high level of customer service to our internal clients. This position requires an engineer with great people skills and a desire to work in a flexible environment. The ideal candidate can balance multiple ongoing projects while addressing the immediate maintenance needs of a 24/7 operation. We support a large local tv station, numerous corporate business units and a national television show. If you’re looking to expand your skills in one of the most active and dynamic cities in America then we’d love to have you in Denver.

Responsibilities:

• Support critical broadcast/IT systems
• Provide desktop support
• Maintain broadcast automation and playout systems
• Support news editing and scripting systems/software
• Support building/physical plant systems as needed
• Provide remote site and transmitter support

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:


• In-depth knowledge of broadcast technologies including; IT, Transmitters, Antennas, Broadcast Switchers, Router Systems, ENG and DSNG Transmissions, Field Cameras, Signal Path Workflows
• Working knowledge of other technologies including; Camera Robotics Controls, Information Technology Infrastructure, VOIP Phone Systems
• Demonstrated strong leadership, team management, and has excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated strong project management experience
• Ability to work well in a team environment and make quick decisions under pressure
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule in support of a 24x7x365 operation with assigned on-call schedule
