Job Description:


The Data Integration Developer will be responsible for supporting and developing the overall Tibco/EAI application for the enterprise; assisting the Data Integration Manager in integration design, Tibco architecture, project implementation, and resource management. This position will also assist in defining, testing, implementing, and governing technical standards for all EAI projects.


Major responsibilities of the position are listed below. To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to execute each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Responsible for integration design, development, implementation on assigned projects, and operational support in the Tibco/EAI platform

  • Assist with resource management for ongoing development and operational issues with Tibco/EAI

  • Assist with management of application platforms from a security, capacity, reliability, and overall performance perspective

  • Maintain code efficiency and data integrity in all deliverables

  • Maintain effective resource management to achieve a high level of productivity from a quantity and quality perspective

  • Provide leadership in business requirement definition for new projects

  • Provide leadership in customer service to our business community for change requests and issue research

  • Define, test, implement, and govern technical standards for the overall EAI development framework

  • Compliance to SDLC and SOX in all aspect of application development

  • Provides oversight to the source code repository and practices, ensuring a high level of integrity and effective controls are in place to maintain and deploy integration artifacts and configurations

  • Support staff management in terms of on-boarding, off-boarding, knowledge transfer and evaluations of effectiveness.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or MIS

  • Minimum 6 to 8 years of total experience in EAI and TIBCO design, development, end-to-end integration testing, and performance tuning in the integration layer

  • Minimum of 4 to 6 years of total experience in XML, XSLT, and XSD

  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years total experience with Java ( J2EE, EJB, JSP) and .Net development

  • Integration in retail and understanding business process is highly desired

  • Project and staff management experience in onshore and offshore models

  • Experience/working knowledge in enterprise integration architectural patterns

  • Expertise in TIBCO product lines: ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks, EMS, Hawk, Adapters ( ADB, PeopleSoft, File, LDAP), BusinessStudio, , iProcess, SmartMapper, BusinessEvents, GI. AMX and B.E. nice to have

  • Expertise in WS/XML: XML, XSD, XSLT, XPath, SOAP, WSDL –WS-I Standards

  • Expertise in designing service oriented architectures

  • Expertise in Web Services ( HTTP/s, SOAP, REST), JMS, S/FTP, SQL

  • Experience in development and deployment strategies for EAI service end-points and data-flows

  • Experience in coding languages and environments including but not limited to Java, J2EE, EJB, JSP, .Net, ASP, XML, and HTML

  • Familiarity with LINUX Red Hat, UNIX, Windows system configuration ( networking, file systems) or Network configuration

  • Experience in developing canonical data models ( CDM)

  • Experience in database design and operations ( Oracle, SQLServer)

  • Experience in management of small development teams, SDLC, and working with an offshore and onshore staffing model

  • Experience using source control systems and code promotion techniques ( We use SVN)

  • Define standards, strategies, and tools to provide optimal performance of EAI systems and EAI applications

  • Ability to quickly acquire a thorough knowledge of retail applications to support Sales, Merchandising, Marketing, Inventory Management, and MI retail overall

  • Strong communication skills to write documentation for design and architecture diagrams
