Job Title: UX/UI Designer - 12 Month FTC
A little bit about our team:
This is a fantastic opportunity: one where you could be joining "Firepit Technology, Warner Musics Innovation and UI/UX/Development team. An award-winning department, it primarily builds campaign activations and applications for the Labels and our artists. It also creates projects for the wider business, such as internal publishing platforms and standalone products. The Firepit Tech team supports all of WMG's territories globally, delivering a mix of both commissioned deliverables, and proactive innovation and development, based on need and demand. This role is uniquely housed in a team directly in Warner Musics London Headquarters - with our regular UK and US commissioners including (but not being limited to) Atlantic, Warner Bros Records, and Parlophone, and Rhino.
Why this could be your next big break:
You will join the existing award-winning team, comprising of a Head of Tech, Account Manager, Lead UX/UI, and Full Stack Developers. You will produce for our partners in the labels and Artist Services, designing UI and developing Front End for contexts such as: fan engagement activations, self-service publishing tools, and social platform assets. Please note: development of some Front End work is also a requirement, and this is not simply a design/UI role.
Here youll get to work on:
Artist websites and label sites
Custom campaign builds & landing pages
Self-serve publishing tools for labels
UI and Front End for Spotify API/Apple Music integration activations
Digital ad units
Lenses/Camera Effects for Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat
The list above is not definitive, and newly devised formats that arise from ideation sessions and individual suggestions are actively encouraged.
You will have:
Demonstrable experience in a previous UI/UX Designer role or significant project
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach - also balanced with an ability to work in a self directed manner
Experience working in deadline oriented environments, and good estimation skills
An efficient approach to multitasking on jobs, ideally with experience with a Project Manager / Account Manager
An interest in the world of UI and Front End at large, and a passion for developing yourself within the team
Exceptional attention to detail
A passion for music; to bring one's best work to the projects we deliver for our artists and commissioners
Although we are not prescriptive in requirements for background experience to the role, it would suit someone with junior experience or recent graduate/post-graduate experience with a Global Digital agency, or Corporate inhouse Creative/Digital team. Your approach should blend into our current culture of partnership with our commissioners and artists, and align to their goals.
It would be music to our ears if you also had:
Experience in an agency or inhouse creative/tech environment
Knowledge of modern CMS products (WordPress/Drupal)
Experience with functional tests to verify new features
Analytics with a view towards UX/UI reiteration and A/B (eg, GA, Hotjar, etc)
