Job Description:

The senior financial analyst reports to the Sr. Finance Manager and is partly responsible for financial planning & analysis, management reporting, and monthly close activities. Univision is a business that is a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and requires strong critical thinking and excellent communication to effectively partner with finance and commercial stakeholders across various levels in the organization.
The Network Sales Finance team is seeking an ambitious, strategic and analytical professional. This individual will play an integral role in financial reporting and analysis of this business unit. The goal is to enable the company’s leaders to make sound business decisions and meet the company’s objectives.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for monthly accounting procedures (reclass expenses & accrue costs)
• Verify coding and approve all invoices for submission to accounts payable for payment
• Preparation of the quarterly variance analysis of actuals vs budget/estimates
• Track Production Income
Make sure we are on track to meet our yearly target
Billback clients for all the production income and activations
• Responsible for ad-hoc analysis and requests
• Prepare purchase orders accordance with the Procurement dept guidelines
• Work with Partner Solutions team on recoupable production costs and prepare misc invoices with corporate billing. Responsible for its aging and collections.

Transactional responsibilities include:

Process, review and approve invoices and credit card expenses
Approve expense reports, correct dept / program codes for related production
Review timesheets of hourly employees & freelancers ensuring proper GL codes
• Report all insurance claims to the risk management office and insurance company
• Secure execution of contractor agreements prior to engaging third-party vendors

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
• CPA and/or MBA a plus
• 3-5 years of relevant financial reporting experience
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Think-Cell and Excel required
• Experienced with Hyperion and Oracle PBCS strongly preferred
• Strong technical skills regarding data analysis and financial modeling required
• Effective written and verbal communication skills including interaction with senior and executive management required
• Fluency in Spanish and English preferred
• Media industry experience a plus
• Results-oriented with demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently
• Exceptional management skills, with ability to meet demanding deadlines and balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
