Job Description:

Daily Blast Live, an innovative live show from TEGNA, based in Denver, CO, has an immediate opening for a Senior Supervising Producer. If LIVE TV gets you excited and you have both news and entertainment experience, Daily Blast Live is the show for you!

The Senior Supervising Producer role works directly with the executive producer, talent, and staff to generate and oversee the production of breaking news, topical segments, and franchise segments for Daily Blast Live.

• Oversee and manage production teams including producers, associate producers, and editors
• Develop, generate, and evaluate pitches from the team for franchise segments and guest interviews.
• Supervise the futures calendar and weekly grid for the show
• Supervise direct reports including coaching and mentoring producing staff
• Know how to produce segments from conceptualization to supervising in control room.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Requirements:


• Demonstrate strong knowledge and interest in news, topical and entertaining stories, and current events
• Must demonstrate impeccable storytelling, production skills, and coaching abilities.
• Must have strong writing skills, research skills, and editorial judgment
• Must have at least seven years of experience in editorial and show production in live and/or syndicated television.
• Must have prior staff management experience
• Must have a Bachelor’s degree.
• Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, under tight deadline pressure, including weekends. Must be able to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift with little or no notice if needed.
