About the job:
The Senior Manager – Real Time, Social Moments will collaborate with the Director of Social Media to conceptualize and lead the Social Moments team’s real-time executions. Reporting to the Director of Social Media, this managerial position will coordinate Social Moments content for Bleacher Report, focused on highly visual and innovative executions. This individual will be tasked with leading a team charged with creating real time reactions to breaking sports news and sporting events. He/She will manage a portion of the Social Moments team’s freelance budget and will also work closely with the full time staff.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage activities of social moments content, including real-time visual content creation. Develops story ideas and production plans, and supervises implementation. Projects are generally complex in responsibility and/or manages multiple projects simultaneously in conjunction with other departments.
Manage production processes such as: assignment docs, managing resources, budgets and assignments, communicating with production and outside BR departments, advanced planning and billing. Establishes new processes, procedures and methods that improve production outcomes.
Provide creative guidance to associate editors, deputy editors, and Director of Social Medias to ensure they are meeting production deadlines and deliverables.
Work with social and programming team on best content and formats for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Vine, and other social platforms.
Seeking candidates with:
3-5 years experience managing social media accounts at a digital publisher
Proven experience managing medium (7 FTE) to large (15 FTE) sized teams
Strong track record of creating viral content across Vine, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat
Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels
Deep understanding of current and emerging social networks
