KRCG CBS 13 is looking for an experienced TV / Media Sales Manager to help guide our local sales efforts. This position requires an individual who possesses strong leadership skills who can direct a local sales team in selling new business and creating revenue streams through a multi-screen integrated approach. The candidate must have a successful track record in sales management, staff recruitment and developmental skills as well as strong leadership capabilities.
In this position you will:
Work as a partner to the General Manager (GM) in achieving / exceeding budgeted financial goals and grow the station's revenue share
Manage local sales for the station including new business television and digital interactive revenue stream
Train, manage, and motivate all sales personnel
Ensure effective onboarding of new hires including smooth transition of existing clients to new hires portfolio as well as recognize and reward high performance
Consistently support Marketing Consultants in new business development, leveraging client-centric solution selling
Establish sales strategies, plans and alignment in support of revenue goals by creating annual, quarterly, and monthly business plans that link to revenue goals in consultation with the GM
Ensure client results, satisfaction and retention by attending sales meetings with key clients to accelerate the sales cycle, grow the account, and demonstrate commitment to client success
Collect and analyze monthly and quarterly revenue forecast information for sellers on a weekly basis
Work with sales reps to review and resolve preemptions daily and manage sales orders
Ensure strong performance of local and regional accounts
Work with GM and Research / Solution Architect to build sales packages and proposals that garner multi- platform revenue for the station
Lead sales promotions and develop non-traditional revenue sources
Manage and control sales revenue by developing strong relationships with local clients
Work with the promotions department to create sales opportunities
Additional responsibilities will include forecasting, assist in inventory control and pricing, developing / implementing sales promotions & projects, development of non-traditional revenue sources as well as new media and strategic planning
Other responsibilities as assigned
3-5 years of media, cable, or digital advertising sales experience, preferably in a managerial role
Must be highly organized and able to effectively prioritize tasks in an extremely fast paced environment
The ability to communicate effectively with clients and all levels of personnel
Must hold a valid drivers license and good driving record
