Job Description:

This position will provide legal and administrative support to the Company’s regulatory attorneys. The Regulatory and Compliance Administrator will provide support in preparing FCC applications and regulatory compliance filings, maintaining the Company’s FCC licenses, researching FCC and other government agency regulations as well as some routine contract management support.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

•Supporting the Company’s regulatory team in all regulatory matters, with a focus on Federal Communications Commission matters.
•Drafting, reviewing and revising a wide range of regulatory filings, including applications for licenses, permits, renewals.
•Reviewing FCC and station websites for compliance with FCC and company rules and policies.
•Reviewing contest rules for federal and state compliance.
•Performing research as requested.
•General contract and transactional legal support.
•Other duties in support of the Nexstar legal department as assigned.

Requirements & Skills:

•Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal certificate.
•Minimum of 3 years’ experience.
•Experience with federal regulatory agencies a plus.
•Fluency in English.
•Excellent communication and writing skills, critical analysis skills and attention to detail.
•Ability to work independently and to handle multiple work assignments contemporaneously.
•Ability to research without access to Lexis/Westlaw.
•Advanced Microsoft Word/Excel/Powerpoint knowledge.
