Summary

Townsqare Media Portland, ME is searching for a Live Event Coordination Intern.

Live Event Coordination interns play a large role in the success of our local events with an opportunity to understand how and event comes together from start to finish. Interns will assist the Northern New England Live Events team in all aspects of coordination for upcoming events including content creation, administrative assignments, customer service, and general event duties. Interns will gain experience in general event coordination, event marketing, on-air promotions, sponsorships, working with budgets, day of event operations, social media marketing, meeting deadlines, effective planning, and quality teamwork.

Not only does this experience look great on a resume or college application, our interns truly have fun while receiving valuable grooming tips and professional advice that will positively impact their budding careers! Unlike most internships in this industry, this program gives participants a chance to directly affect the success of the company they represent.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Help coordinate all aspects of events (ticketing/promotion/planning/booking/execution)
Data entry (processing applications/analytics)
Creative digital content creation
Customer Service
Assist with updating event information platforms including social/digital/internal systems
Prioritize tasks, set deadlines & track deliverables to meet goals
Organize data & develop insights regarding events
Support administrative tasks as needed
Staffing events day-of
Write/pitch creative copy for radio advertisements
This internship will culminate in a Final Project where the intern will create a comprehensive sample event pitch.


Qualifications

Live Event experience is preferred
Preferred proficiency in: Wordpress, Facebook, Twitter, & Instagram
High level of attention to detail
Work reflects professional written & verbal communication
Excellent time management, project management, & organizational skills
Strong multitasking ability
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work in fast paced work environment
Exceptional problem solving skills
