Job Description:

The primary responsibility of this position is to execute strategies designed to profitably grow WBHEG’s volume across all digital platforms (EST, VOD). Develop and execute annual business plans and manage the day-to-day distribution, sales and marketing of Warner Bros. digital content. Ensure strong annual calendar of activity is in place to meet and exceed assigned annual net revenue targets and that maximize the negotiated licensing agreements in place across each assigned account.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Develop annual account business plans for assigned accounts (local or global), which:
• Align to overall WBHEG net revenue targets, strategies and tactics
• Merge the Account’s communicated objectives, strategies, tactics and business plans
• Subsequently, socialize internally with stakeholders/partners across the Sales and Burbank based Marketing business units to build alignment

• Responsible for translating the strategic marketing plan from each WB business unit into tactical and executable account level marketing programs
• Ensure all new releases are executed profitably to grow WHBHEG volume
• Execute customer specific advertising and merchandising needs
• Negotiate and implement trade spend, based on the funding approved by title or business segment
• Manage account trade funds within budget and escalate and resolve discrepancies

• Develop creative catalogue promotions designed to:
• Profitably grow WBHEG’s volume within all assigned accounts
• Secure customer promotions activities to support your account business plan
• Leverage sales all tools including pre-approved rebates, discounts, incentives, windows and negotiated rights

• Responsible for managing the creation of and delivery of all sales presentations and business reviews for assigned accounts, including annual kick-off meetings
• Internally for review and presentation to or with the Director, Sales & Digital Development
• Externally with assigned accounts, based on our selling processes and lead times and set cadence for reviews – whether monthly or quarterly

• Manage availability of all WB distributed content, factoring negotiated rights and windows specific to the Canadian market
• Actively manage delivery of technical assets and logistic concerns of all accounts.

• Conducts regular conference calls and account meetings, including the WB Trade Marketing and Retail Planning teams where applicable to support the overall account business planning processes

• Collaborate with the Burbank based Digital Sales and Marketing teams to leverage global strategy and alignment across business initiatives

• Champion your account(s) development and sales planning processes from end to end in partnership with the Director, Sales & Digital Development

• In conjunction with the Director, Digital Sales & Development, assist in the annual budget process and projections for digital business
• Collaborate with the Account Planning team to provide updates to account level forecasts on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
• Identify risks and opportunities to your assigned account targets, providing feedback ongoing in order to ensure transparency

• Assist in customer licensing and/or contract negotiations locally or in Burbank, as required

• Effectively manage administrative issues including, but not limited to, sales reports, T&E reports, special requests, fund tracking and volume tracking and planning reports

• Participate in WB Sales meetings, events, seminars, and conventions

• Perform other duties as required, supporting the Director, Digital Sales & Development and/or VP of Sales

Education:

• Undergraduate degree in business, commerce or equivalent.

Work experience

• Minimum 5+ years experience in sales, preferably in consumer packaged goods
• Direct experience managing accounts – 3+ years.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with many levels within an organization and externally with accounts.
• Strong initiative and ability to multi-task and work independently.
• Superb attention to detail and ability to manage complexity.
• Must have strong entrepreneurial orientation and think strategically.
• Must have strong written & oral communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills required.
• Above average computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint).
