With Legendary AAA franchises like Mortal Kombat and Batman: Arkham alongside our hit mobile games Golf Clash and Game of Thrones, we are uniquely positioned to launch revolutionary services and new IP. WBIE has established exciting development partnerships and a pipeline of future-facing opportunities to drive our growth over the coming years. Now we are seeking an Executive Producer, Development Partnerships to direct and oversee the creation of these new products.

Responsibilities include forging strong, successful relationships with external development studios and strategic development partners. This person will take responsibility for the creative and commercial viability of his/her projects. He/She will partner with Central Product Management to select new projects, define goals, structure projects and track progress towards achieving project goals. The Executive Producer will ensure predictability and will implement plans to manage risks as they emerge during development. The Executive Producer is responsible for integrating WBIE central resources into external development including Central Tech, QA, Localization, outsourcing support and user research. This person will also be responsible for integrating publishing functions like marketing, user acquisition and community relations. Ultimately, the Executive Producer is the “Product Owner” for WBIE’s next generation of hit services and generating positive business results from those investments.

The Executive Producer should have experience with internal and external game console development processes, game economies, live game services, multi-player games, superior operational skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills. This person must be a leader, highly organized, self-motivated, and detail oriented with great follow-through skills and the ability to prioritize and manage large complex organizational and executional issues. Regular travel is required.

• In partnership with the Director of Developer Relations, creates, syndicates and maintains a comprehensive slate strategy for partnerships. Evaluates trends and opportunities in the market place. Benchmarks game performance KPIs to create an evaluation framework for new opportunities. Generates and presents trend and opportunity reports to guide product strategy and selection.
• Identifies, evaluates, and recommends the best development options for WBIE's evolving Slate Plan based on established criteria for Warner Bros.’ ongoing slate of projects. Contributes to or manages greenlight efforts on new starts.
• In support of good development and live operations, creates a vision for full lifecycle processes including product validation, technical operations, live phase decision making, etc.
• In collaboration with product management and marketing partners, creates a framework to assess, track and validate product quality. Validation should drive decisions that improve chances of success or drive early identification of risks.
• Seeks resources to fulfill that vision through the gate review process.
• Monitors and reports on development progress. Uses the WBIE gate review framework and customized approaches to project management to evaluate and report on progress. Generates useful, timely updates for all members of the team.
• Measures and assess risks that are emerging and being managed. When issues arise that could interfere with project goals, proactively implements solutions.
• Oversees product creation costs and allocation of resources. Makes decisions and recommendations about how to deploy resources in support of project goals.
• Directs project resources during development & live operations with the goal of maximizing the commercial potential of the opportunity.
• Manages projects through WBIE’s gate review process. Ensures that valuable information is available to support decision making. Represents the project and the team to WBIE’s executive team and publishing partners.
• Creates and shares valuable information about the project for the entire WBIE team with the goal of supporting effective collaboration.
• Establishes and coordinates an ongoing cross-functional working group to support the project and commercial success. Works with developers, marketers, researchers, and product managers to define commercial viability. Coordinates go-to-market efforts between WBIE and the development team.
• During development, creates a roadmap of central services that are required to support the development team. Drives requirements for centrally sourced tools and tech, as well as requirements for game publishing integrations.
• Recruits and manages staff. Develops network of potential staff. Delivers timely performance assessments and creates career development plans.
• Mentors and develops Senior Producers, Producers, and Associate Producer.

What do we require from you?

• College degree or equivalent preferred.
• Previous Senior or Executive Producer experience or equivalent with game developer or publisher.
• 10+ years’ experience in game development; full lifecycle experience developing and operating PC, console or mobile games necessary.
• Experience working on free-to-play and multiplayer games businesses is desirable.
• Practical experience in setting, guiding and evaluating production processes.
• Track record of budget, project and people management. Track record of direct leadership & significant influence within a scaled organization.
• Previous responsibility for projects with $50MM+ development budgets.
• Experience building organizations.
• Wide and deep understanding of game industry and business models.
• Wide and deep understanding of project management, esp. creative projects and software development.
• Experience working leading or working with teams of analysts to evaluate opportunities.
• Knowledge of project financing & project resourcing.
• Effective communication with multiple teams is required, including: developers, finance, product management, business development, marketing, PR, QA, Exec and more.
• Strong project and time management skills with a proven ability to organize teams set priorities, solve complex problems, meet deadlines and resolve conflicts.
• Ability to create and deliver effective presentations.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel internationally.
