Festival Republic is the UK’s largest festival and event promoter, the team proudly organises festivals such as Reading and Leeds, Latitude, Electric Picnic, Berlin Festival and Lollapalooza Berlin.
Festival Republic, which is part of Live Nation Entertainment, runs an apprenticeship programme which aims to offer an alternative route for people into employment. We are currently recruiting for an Event Apprentice to join our team for two years. The event apprenticeship offers on the job training and onsite assessment by an approved apprenticeship training provider, earning a nationally recognised qualification at the end of the apprenticeship.
The Event Apprentice provides administrative support to the Production Co-ordinator, Licensing Co-ordinator and Event Manager and so is a key part of the planning team for their events. The main aim of the role is to assist in ensuring compliance and strong agency liaison for each of their events and to ensure is to ensure all infrastructures, contractors and staffs are booked and arrive correctly.
Responsibilities
• Assisting with the licensing of the event to ensure all licence conditions are complied with
• Provide assistance in and updating all documents for the Event Management Plan
• Liaise with key agencies (police, fire, ambulance, amongst others) to determine their requirements for the event
• Creating pre-site Production & Licensing signage & managing the onsite filing of the offices
• Scheduling key meetings, both internal and external and preparing agendas and circulating minutes to attendees
• Updating and circulating contact lists and other documents key to the event
• Producing confirmation letters and raising POs for staff and contractors
• Liaising with local hotels and booking onsite and offsite accommodation
• Ensuring production and licensing PO trackers are up to date
• Assist with keeping the production schedule up to date throughout the planning process and ensuring all contactors and staff arrival and departure details are included on it as well as licensing conditions and agency meetings
• Ensuring all plant and vehicles are correctly insured
• Sourcing any ad-hoc items needed for the event
• Organising the set up / delivery of all kit and services to the onsite offices
• Assist with the reconciliation of missing equipment, damaged vehicles and plant post show
• Processing and logging all post show debriefs
• Working onsite in the licensing or production office
• Any other tasks as delegated
Requirements
• Minimum of five 4 or higher GCSE’s (including Maths, English).
• Demonstrable aptitude for detailed work; ability to prioritise and work under pressure
• Ability to work under pressure
• Exceptional organisation skills and administrative skills

Training Information:
The successful candidate will participate in workplace activities over the duration of the Apprenticeship and will be assessed at regular intervals by an external Assessor to ensure the qualification is achieved.
