Job Description:

Conde Nast is seeking a creative, self-motivating Email Coordinator to lead the production of a popular female-themed newsletter that features political essays, personal stories, interviews, and advice. This includes the planning, building, and launching of all current and future newsletter products, as well as leading testing and strategy efforts. This person will be responsible for accurately measuring results, and closely collaborating with various business units to continuously evolve the newsletter program. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with working within HTML email templates, coding in HTML, building reports, and working within an Email Service Provider. The role has the possibility to grow into email support for other Conde Nast brands over time, with general operational responsibilities to the Conde Nast network
The position will be based in New York City.


Primary Responsibilities

Build newsletter products within CMS platform, including the maintenance of email copy and assets, as well as any HTML tweaking/changes
Work with Editorial team to design a process for maintaining testing and deployment schedules
Set up newsletters in ESP, in addition to any data-related processes, such as segmentation and form captures
Monitor and maintain data lists and unsubscribe process
Collaborate with Design and Product to develop templates
Develop key relationships across teams editorial, product, database, marketing, etc.
Create and deliver email reports to various stakeholders, including corporate and customized reports
Provide recommendations on how to optimize newsletter content, design, and acquisition based on reporting analytics
Become a platform expert, providing training and guidance to new and existing users
Research industry trends and benchmarks, to continuously improve newsletter products and metrics


Desired Skills and Qualifications

BA/BS or equivalent work experience
3+ years experience in email production and newsletter product management
Expertise in HTML, creating or using email templates and sending email newsletters
Knowledge of testing subject lines, content, and calls to action
Familiarity with email service provider systems (Silverpop, SailThru, Mailchimp, etc.).
Understanding of database connectivity and concepts
Experience with email marketing concepts and metrics, deliverability, and best practices
Experience with building and reading reports, either through reporting tools or via custom reporting
Experience with data analysis/web analytics (Omniture) helpful
Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously while effectively meeting deadlines
Self-starter that is highly organized
Excellent writing and communication skills
Proven success with collaborating with various teams to perform tasks to completion
Creative eye to email design concepts & verbiage
