Uforia is looking for an innovative Managing Editor who will help us celebrate, curate, discover and bring Radio programming and Latin music to life across all our digital platforms.
Uforia’s digital Managing Editor Digital, will be responsible for all music, music lifestyle, and radio content on Univision.com, Uforia App and across all 3rd arty distribution digital and social platforms. He/She will work with the SVP of Digital Content & Editorial Operations and the President of Radio to develop and execute on a content strategy that will serve Radio and Uforia, The Home of Latin Music’s existing fans and help develop new audiences for Latin music with fun, irreverent, compelling and insightful content strategies.
The managing editor will lead the day-to-day operations of radio and Uforia’s newsroom and oversee a multimedia team of editors, reporters, producer, programmers and social media managers. The managing editor will possess a sophisticated and nuanced understanding of how to drive editorial impact on all our national and local radio and music platforms through original content development, storytelling and multiplatform distribution.
Maintain editorial calendar and lead contributors to hit publishing deadlines
Develop short form digital video content strategy, focused on radio, music, music lifestyle and pop culture.
Collaborate with radio team to ensure the site accurately reflects on-air programming and encourages further listening.
Develop a robust and compelling digital content offering via a digital content pipeline of short form (snackable) content that can engage users and encourage virality across social platforms.
Work closely with liner radio programming team and digital sales to develop cross platform branded entertainment initiatives, to super serve key accounts.
Generate of new innovative editorial products
Maintain and strengthen relationships and partnerships with platforms and other media organizations.
Manage and lead relationship with product and technology teams
Integrate digital workflows and processes with linear’s workflows and processes
Establish, maintain and strengthen collaborative relationships with other Univision verticals
Optimization of editorial processes and workflow
Maintain active search for new storytelling opportunities that generate interest amongst U.S. Hispanics
Secure key content acquisition deals with 3rd party content providers.
Build and nurture a highly creative and passionate content development and production team.
Develop and implement digital video content best practices.
Take calculated creative risks with new content ideas
Make data driven decisions to optimize the content pipeline
Develop and nurture a networks of authorized content contributors across the US and Latin America.
Keep abreast of all digital content trends and ensure that senior management is updated on changes in the landscape.
Develop a content strategy that consistently delivers on the key KPI’s, including video views, engagement metrics, sentiment, revenue growth among others.
Nurture a team of highly creative and passion content predators across key markets in the Us and manage a team of editors oversees.
Become a trend spotter of successful digital content
Job requires frequent travel to LA, NY, Houston, Chicago, Dallas, Miami and Puerto Rico
Fully Bilingual – Spanish and English, oral and written
Excellent written and oral communication skills in Spanish and English

Prior branded content development experience

Poses a deep emotional connection and knowledge of the Latin music and entertainment market
Expertise in established business software application (Power point, Excel, Word)

Fluency in web and social media analytic tools
Self-motivated and highly proactive
Minimum 10+ years of digital content development and video production experience.
Experience in building or leading content teams
Solid knowledge of content development and production budgeting process, a must
Solid understand on digital media platforms, and how content can be optimized for each.
Solid knowledge and understanding of digital content trends and how videos become viral
Bachelor Degree required
Advanced degree in in TV/Video production, media studies or journalism - preferred
