Manage CMS platform development to deliver new functionalities according to the underlying business objectives
Responsible for customizing and configuring the content management system (CMS) and supporting the content creation/editorial publishing workflow, including video CMS.
Attract and retain top engineering talent
Work closely with the Product team to implement new features and functionality that enhance the user experience
Manage internal development resources and third-party vendors through the product lifecycle from design to development, testing, release and support
In a fast-moving and dynamic space, generate and evangelize new ideas based on technology trends and advancements in video, social, and mobile
Lead migration from server-based to cloud-based architecture
Rebuild existing integrated systems with distributed micro-service systems
Coordinate with CBSi central teams to reconcile work for shared resources. This includes, but is not limited to, systems engineering, infrastructure, and database operations personnel.
Identify, evaluate and benchmark potential technology vendors
Manage technical details of video delivery and distribution, including integration into websites, mobile apps, emerging platforms and partner sites
Facilitate product integrations with shared CBSi technology platforms, such as user data capture (social and behavioral) to improve ad products
Aid in our transition to a more agile development process
5+ years as a hands-on engineer solving hard scaling problems horizontally
3 years leading and building a team of engineers
Thorough knowledge of the Open Source content management platforms and deep familiarity with Drupal/Wordpress
Expert in PHP, MySQL, UI Frameworks and development tools
Good understanding of data caching strategies and working knowledge of Akamai tools
Deep familiarity with integration of video into desktop and mobile experiences
Experience integrating ad serving products and analytics/reporting tools into desktop and mobile experiences
Ability to work in a cross-functional team alongside other developers contributing to the same code base library
Experience working with both Agile and Waterfall development processes
Very strong interpersonal skills; must be able to demonstrate an ability to work well with other non-technical members of the product team
Must successfully pass a background check
Knowledge of advertising concepts (traditional and/or online)
Deep experience with video
Knowledge of online publishing environments
Familiarity with AGILE product development lifecycle
