Duties include but are not limited to: Anchoring our weekend evening newscast, reporting, assisting in producing evening newscasts as well as cut-ins and reporting stories. Solid anchoring/live reporting and hands-on producing skills; the ability to enterprise "Getting You Answers" stories, must be creative, self-starters, who are willing to go the extra mile and to pitch in where needed;should possess solid news judgment; excellent writing/ storytelling abilities; working knowledge of the internet, web presentation, college degree and 3-5 years television anchoring/reporting experience is required. You must be able to anchor, write, shoot and edit your own stories; work well with others, have strong time management, organizational skills and knowledge of the Freedom of Information Act and how to use it. Must have the ability to work under pressure, handle breaking news and last minute changes all while meeting deadlines. You may be asked to speak at station and community events as a station representative. You must be able to regularly engage on social media.
You must be responsible with company equipment and company vehicles.
You must be able to lift & carry up 25 to 30 lbs of equipment.
Preferred Skills-ENPS, Edius Editing, Word Press and Social Media
Solid Anchoring, Live Reporting skills, be familiar with producing as well as be able to enterprise stories.
Bachelor's Level Degree in Broadcast Journalism or Communications
3-5 years live television anchoring and reporting experience (required)
Work Schedule is:
Should mostly be evenings, possibly the noon show and filling in for other News Team members as assigned.
