Job Description:

The VP of Creative is a newly created role that is integral to the NBCU Networks strategy of launching and managing strong local PayTV channels under a portfolio of consistent and high quality global brands.

Based in London this role will oversee the creative strategy, creative direction and execution of all on air and off channel communication for the NBCU portfolio of channels across UK and EM businesses.

The person in this role will oversee the on air promotions, graphics and production/facilities teams, reporting to channel Managing Directors for UK and EM, with a dotted line to VP Creative International and working directly with the local marketing and programming teams.

This person needs to be an innovative, inspirational and organised leader.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and champion highly creative and effective campaigns through a rigorous strategic and concept led process, with a primary focus on the on air environments.
• Manage and motivate on-air teams in order to raise creativity levels for on-air /off-air promotion and marketing
• Create and develop a collaborative creative process between, Promos. Graphics and Production
• Together with Marketing and Programming, contribute to the development communications strategies across multiple brands in multiple territories/languages that must deliver at a local level
• Responsible for quality and effectiveness of all creative on-air output and provide guidance and direction for off channel efforts

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

• Individual must have proven track record in successfully managing/developing creative teams, especially on-air promotion teams and, most importantly, have personal in-depth knowledge and exceptional ability in conceptualizing, ‘promo’ writing and editing.
• Able to handle pressure, multitask whilst retaining focus and understanding key priorities, without compromising creative output
• Excellent communication, organisation, interpersonal and influencing skills. Must be able to communicate at all levels.
• A deep understanding of marketing, promotions and creative services with relevant experience in a senior television role.
• Comfortable leading in a matrix management organization.
• A proven track record of branding and channel positioning success.
• Deep product knowledge, excellent industry contacts and an understanding of the industry landscape.
• Experience working as a part of a senior leadership team.
• Experience creating and implementing multi-territory business processes.
• A firm grasp of all television production and promotion processes.
• Educated to degree level or equivalent.
• A passion for television
• Preferably with international experience.
• Strong leadership and motivation skills.
• Willingness to undertake travel, as necessary.
