Description:

The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) will be a San Mateo-based member of the Strategic Accounts team the group responsible for managing and growing Adap.tvs largest and most valuable client relationships.



This SAM will be responsible for day-to-day client management and operational execution for two of our largest customers (one portal, one agency holding company), reporting to the Strategic Account Director responsible for growing those relationships. SAM responsibilities include managing ongoing client communication, producing weekly account status sheets, providing weekly campaign reporting, overseeing the internal teams responsible for campaign and ad serving execution (campaign managers, ad serving managers, coordinators), tracking product/feature requests, and coordinating cross-functional teammates, including agency sales.



Primary Responsibilities:

Account Management : Manage and coordinate the day-to-day aspects of each account, including weekly status sheets (internal and client-facing), weekly campaign reports, and ongoing client communication/requests



Execution Management: Oversee the team responsible for executing campaigns and platform usage, ensuring success against key performance metrics; includes tracking performance against delivery, pace, margin, and trouble-shooting



Internal Coordination : Successfully partner with and coordinate internal contacts to offer optimal client service, including agency sales, inventory, client strategy, sales solutions, client services



Customer Advocacy : Act as advocate for the customer internally, ensuring expected service levels are met or bested and commitments are honored



Communication : Manage internal and external communication flows, including timely and thoughtful responses to clients, persistent internal follow-ups, necessary escalations, and proactive recommendations



Required:

7-10 years of client management experience in the digital media/advertising/video space; ideally working with media/advertising agencies



Working knowledge of digital video, digital advertising, and/or programmatic buying



Self-starter capable of flourishing in start-up, fast-paced, and/or unstructured environments



Does business and manages client relationships with a sense of accountability and urgency



Highly organized and able to easily manage multiple tasks simultaneously



Team-oriented and fosters strong relationships, collaboration



Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills



Energy and passion for growing an online video advertising business



References that include former employers, teammates, and clients



BA/BS Degree
