SUMMARY OF POSITION

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Inc. seeks a Director, Business Analysis for the Business Decision Support department.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• WBHEG Strategic and Operational Analyses – Cross platform (e.g. Physical/Digital and Cable/Satellite) channel and product line promotion and economic analyses and other ad-hoc analyses as requested; LT Plan analyses and support as required.
• Support WBHEG Domestic and International operating units:
•Equity-based acquisition/divestiture transactions.
•Non-standard/multi-element distribution deals.
•Film SVOD negotiation and revenue recognition.
•Special Project Management (e.g. Kickstarter/VM).
•Transaction support to include business unit management of assigned projects in all phases from initial business modeling and deal-specific accounting structuring to managing the full integration of business acquisitions.
•Act as business unit point with all functional Corporate groups (e.g. Strategic Planning, Accounting, Integration Project Management Office (“IPMO”), etc.) and internal management to ensure all project workstreams maintain pace with agreed timeline.
•Provide regular communication to all stakeholders regarding status, issues, open items and timelines.
•Contribute suggestions for issue resolution.
• Implementation activities include (as applicable) delineation of operating accounting function, required systems and relevant business processes, coordination of accounting to support HR activities (e.g. hiring).
• WBHEG Strategic and Operational Analyses - Cross platform (e.g. Physical/Digital and Cable/Satellite) channel and product line promotion and economic analyses and other ad-hoc analyses as requested; LT Plan analyses and support as required.
• Due Diligence – Assist department management and Corporate groups in assessing deal economics and provide divisional coordination for relevant analytical workflows as appropriate. Review due diligence materials and develop/review business models for pending acquisitions. Develop and review findings, recommendations and conclusions; assist in analyses to support valuation and Working Capital adjustments as applicable.
• Financial Statement Structuring and Implementation – In conjunction with relevant WBHEG and Corporate finance and accounting groups, assist in the conversion, alignment to WBHEG policy and implementation of the acquired/launched business’ financial systems and processes. Help identify potential conforming changes at the business plan stage. Help identify opportunities for and project-manage execution of reengineering/ process improvements, including redesign of customer service, order processing, workflow and financial systems, as needed.
• Integration – Represent WBHEG when assisting IPMO in the design and coordination of execution of multiple work streams into WB, helping to achieve a seamless cutover of all systems and processes. Help develop a streamlined finance integration roadmap tailored to the Business Unit’s specific needs. Coordinate with the IPMO to ensure that WBHEG-appropriate methodologies and policies are used for integration activities.
• Budgeting? Planning – Assist operating groups in design/execution of domestic/worldwide projections of new initiative or complex revenue streams and related costs (as appropriate); utilize output to generate production reporting as needed for integration into rolling forecast and Long Range Plan processes by the relevant FP&A groups.
• Financial Reporting – Coordinate design and implementation of financial reporting for new initiatives including determination of required monthly revenue and expense accruals needed to reflect period activity; coordinate maintenance of MPM master data in SAP working if new products and attributes are required to be included as applicable.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Degree level education and relevant professional experience:
•BA/BS Accounting or Finance.
•CPA preferred, MBA optional.
• 7-10 years’ experience in accounting; experience in Big 4/CPA preferred:
•Financial Reporting (US GAAP).
•General knowledge of business controls.
•Purchase Accounting Analysis experience preferred.
• Strategic and Financial Planning, Analyses & Modeling.
•Major Transaction Leadership.
•Work Stream Coordination.
• Media & Entertainment industry experience preferred.
• M&A due diligence and post-acquisition integration experience preferred.
• Familiarity with finance business processes including invoice-to-cash, procure-to-pay, record-to-report and budgeting/forecasting.
• Process Reengineering.
• SAP System Experience a plus.
• Project Management training, experience and/or certification a plus.
• Professional demeanor, be focused, mature, articulate and well-organized.
• Motivated and confident self-starter.
• Dynamic team member and leader, with strong interest in fostering effective collaboration within and across organizational boundaries.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work well under changing priorities and time constraints.
• Flexible and willing to do detailed as well as conceptual work.
• Good working knowledge of financial controls, processes and systems that contribute to driving efficiency and managing growth; international experience a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with people on all levels (internally and externally), in person, by email and on the phone.
• Presentation skills to all levels of management.
• Demonstrate discretion in the management of confidential information.
• Competent with Microsoft office suite of tools.
• SAP usage or SAP design/implementation experience a strong plus.
• Ability to successfully handle multiple tasks concurrently.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
