Job Description:

Insomniac is looking for a Senior Accountant to support various critical operations including, close, reporting and analysis, audit support, budgeting and forecasting of Fixed expenses and assist with show settlements, recording and analysis. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a strong accounting background, strong communication skills and be very well organized. This position reports to the Manager, Financial Accounting.


• Perform month-end close tasks as defined by management including preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end reporting schedules in accordance with GAAP and SOX requirements
• Prepare and record journal entries in Oracle including receivables, cash receipts, inter-company activity, show settlements, accruals and other activity
• Prepare and maintain various monthly and quarterly management reports including cash reconciliations, balance sheet rollforwards and account reconciliations
• Process all receipts (e.g., ticketing, merchandise, box office, cabanas, etc.) and record corresponding revenues
• Monitor receivable balances and collection efforts, ensuring adequate reserves are recorded as necessary
• Review balance sheet and income statement accounts for accuracy and reasonableness and record necessary adjustments
• Prepare internal and external audit schedules in compliance with SOX
• Work with Accounting Manager in delegating work to accounting staff to assist with all aspects of the position as needed
• Assist with special projects as assigned, including new initiatives implementation


• Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred
• 4+ years of comparable experience required
• 3+ years’ experience in financial statement preparation / general ledger accounting experience
• Advanced technical skills, including Excel and ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP and add on reporting software.
• Possess excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment


• Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments
• Must be willing to travel to events to work during evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines
