The People team is a key part of Warner Music Group and is focused on attracting, retaining and developing exceptional people, enabling them to be the best they can be to drive Warner’s continued success in the market place. The team designs, implements and facilitates People programs around Recruitment, Management & Development, Employee Engagement, Compensation and Benefits and People Processes & Policies, to enable the people leaders within the business to execute best in practice. Our team also partners with the business to support key organisational initiatives. This role is pivotal in supporting the business through our people agenda, and analytics is a major part of this. We recognize the importance of data and how it can support our people. This has never been a more exciting time to be part of this journey. You will manage, lead and hone the analytics space and showcase the value it brings. You’ll act as the first point of contact for insight, analysis and reporting and also ensure there is robust governance around our data standards/definitions.

Here you’ll get to:

• Lead and own people data at WMG, telling stories through our data that guide business decision making and provide key metrics to measure and track progress against our people agenda
• Work with the People team globally to identify the data our people leaders need that is most valuable in directly impacting decision making, behavior and performance
• Analyse our people data, reviewing where we are currently, what it means and what our roadmap needs to achieve to enhance insight further
• Partner with a wider group of data analysts across the business (outside of People) to share ideas and approach
• Audit data integrity, enhancing standards/governance and liaising with territories and data owners to playback quality metrics through education and partner engagement
• Develop and maintain a regular cadence of reporting on our people data, providing useful dashboards and insights that tell stories with data to support business decision making and measurement
• Deliver regular global executive dashboards and insights for the C-suite partners, maturing our approach over time to enhance predictive capabilities.
• Manage and scrutinize requests and unearth the true nature of a report request and how this might contribute to other projects and initiatives
• Be confident in overlaying multiple data feeds from varying sources to weave a coherent business narrative
• Ensure training and development for the wider People Community through upskilling around people analytics and data standards;
• Educate others within the People team on how they can be using data to their advantage when talking to the Company on their people
• Creates a strong partnership with key partners e.g. Generalists, COEs, HRIS, GDO etc on day-to-day activities and key programmes

About you:
You’ll have:

• Great attention to detail as a critical thinker
• Excellent analytical capabilities and thought leadership (data, insight) with ability to translate data into business dialogue to support tangible outcomes & results
• An ability to tell stories that enhance and complement the raw data/analytics
• Proficiency in excel (advanced)
• Project management expertise
• Demonstrable experience in handling large amounts of data from various sources and systems (eg Workday, CultureAMP, Tableu etc)
• Ability to talk through complicated patterns and themes in an easy, digestible way
• Passion for driving analytics so that data can have a direct impact on department and Company strategy, improving operational and strategic performance
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Resiliency and be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and still delivering
• Great partner management across cultures/territories
• A proactive, can-do attitude, mindset and approach
• Experience with working with Workday (Human Resource Information System)

It would be music to our ears if you also had:

• Experience working within a creative industry
• International people experience/knowledge
• Prior experience partnering with infographic design talent
• Experience of other analytical tools/software (source data and data modelling)
