The company has a large and complex landscape of packaged enterprise software suite on SAP, modern SaaS applications, and internally developed custom solutions that are supported by the Enterprise Applications IT group. These applications enable centralized operations in Procurement, and Finance Operations for the extended user community in the business units.
The role of the Senior P2P Analyst is to be the primary functional liaison between the business and the IT team ensuring we consistently deliver and support high quality and secure IT solutions that serve the business needs. This is a blend of activities in the application lifecycle for new projects, enhancements, and production support. The position can be based in Burbank, CA or Englewood Cliffs, NJ
Understand and document business requirements for new business processes and improvements or changes
Collaborate with the IT team consisting of Project/Engagement Managers, Solution Architects, Functional configurators, and Developers to convert requirements into a feasible, and scalable design with a global approach
Translate the design into functional specifications working with developers for SAP, third parties for SaaS applications, internal team for custom applications, and with other interfacing applications.
Make necessary configurations in SAP or other applications as applicable
Create or extend test scripts associated with enhancements, and projects
Perform a variety of automated and non-automated testing tasks unit, system integration, performance, penetration, regression, and disaster recovery
Liaise with security team for roles/assignments or with third parties for SaaS applications
Assist users during User Acceptance Testing by ensuring access set up, and creating test data
Actively resolve defects during testing cycles
Obtain all necessary approvals for migration/deployment to Production while ensuring compliance with Change Management processes and procedures
Provide hyper care support after project go-live
Participate in support ticket calls, and troubleshoot assigned tickets to resolution
Triage the end user with outsourced IT support team to resolve Production or non-Production issues
Occasionally work on user or management requests for data analysis as needed
Strive to think of better ways to increase productivity for end users or the IT group
Report status to Project/Engagement Manager and/or reporting manager
Actively communicate with end users and/or community as needed
Work on initiatives assigned by Manager
7+ years of progressive experience in SAP applications suite with focus on ECC and/or S4 suite on HANA
5+ years experience in other enterprise applications in Procurement to Pay domain (Contracts, Spend Analytics, Travel & Expense, contingent staffing, PCard, utility billing, or similar applications)
5+ years of hands on expertise in SAP MM Purchasing (Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Release Strategy, Inventory Management, Material Master, Purchasing Info Records, and Scheduling Agreements), Inventory Management, and SAP FI Accounts Payable configuration (Invoice Verification, Matching, Payment, and Reconciliation) experience.
Understanding of SAP FI/CO General Ledger, AR, AP modules and Controlling Profit Center Accounting, and Projects System, and how it integrates with other SAP modules
Global experience with ability to adapt to local environments
Solid grasp of master data concept for vendors, materials, chart of accounts etc. and their impact on distributed systems and processes
Exposure to integrating SAP with other upstream/downstream systems through middleware (e.g. Gentran, TIBCO, Informatica)
Experience with SaaS applications for Procurement, Travel/Entertainment, Utility billing etc.
Basic understanding of various types of taxes and their systematic handling within Procure to Pay transactions
Skills to build and maintain testing scripts with tools such as Worksoft, uPerform and HP ALM.
Good understanding of reporting concepts in SAP, BW, or other tools and ability to use them for quick analysis or report writing
Strong interpersonal, facilitation and problem-solving skills to engage with all levels of Business and IT.
Demonstrate excellent verbal/presentation and written communication skills.
Self-starter with detailed orientation to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously
Keen desire to learn and expand depth of knowledge on SAP as well as other enterprise applications
Onsite work location Los Angeles (Burbank) or Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey
Comfort and familiarity in working in an outsourced model with onshore and offshore resources.
Willingness to work off business hours and weekends as needed in a demanding global environment.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, or Business is required.
Ability to read / debug ABAP code
Understanding of BAPI/BAdIs for SAP
Acquaintance with .NET platform and SQL server
Familiarity with API integration using RESTful standards (HTTP, JSON, XML)
Experience with Supply Chain applications (SAP, Maximo, JDA, Eatec etc.)
Any experience with process/technology visualization, AI, or RPA tools
Worked in a consultative and/or IT capacity with at least 5 SAP or large project implementations of high complexity, large scale and global user base.
Prior SAP HANA implementation a plus.
