The Role:

• A Production Manager with Live Nation Clubs and Theaters is a department manager in charge of all aspects of live event production at the Tabernacle in Atlanta, GA.


• Work in tandem with other department heads to create world-class live events
• Hire, train, and manage production staff and create a positive working environment for employees, contractors, and all touring personnel
• Manage budgets associated with the department, including forecasting show costs
• Conduct Artist settlement when necessary
• Advance and execute technical, hospitality and settlement needs for each live event
• Maintain all production inventory regularly
• Create an inventory check-list and conduct regular inventory inspections
• Responsible for scheduling staff appropriate to the live event’s needs with concern to budget and local labor laws
• Oversee department payroll by scheduling, approving and processing hourly employee hours
• When applicable, understand local CBAs and Union labor restrictions
• Maintain regular communication with Venue and Corporate Management through regular 1 on 1 meetings
• Conduct weekly production meetings with all department heads to discuss all upcoming events
• Coordinate operational and budgetary feedback with Talent Buyer
• Responsible for health and safety of working crews during live events complying with OSHA standards and best practices
• Responsible for backstage credential plan by working with security department head in order to create a safe and secure backstage area specific to the needs of the artist or event
• Accrue, maintain and submit accurate expense records, following corporate accounting guidelines
• Comply with cash-handling protocol set by corporate accounting compliance procedures
• Conduct staff evaluations by setting development/performance goals and monitor progress yearly
• Responsible for documenting and delivering disciplinary actions to production crew when necessary
• Ensure hires/disciplinary/termination’s follow all guidelines as set forth by Human Resources
• Maintain a clean and inviting backstage area, including green rooms and catering area


• High School Diploma
• Flexible Schedule (days/nights, late hours, weekends, and holidays)
• 3 years minimum of management experience in an entertainment venue
• 3 years minimum of live event production experience
• Experience in stage lighting, pro-audio systems and basic video systems
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to make clear concise decisions; sometimes with limited information
• Proficient in MS Office
• Must possess superior interpersonal communication skills
• Must be highly organized
• Must be able to conduct oneself with extreme patience while working in a stressful environment
• Tolerance of all cultures, music and art forms


• College Degree or equivalent technical trade certificate in a technical discipline
• Proficiency in a technical discipline; lighting, audio, video, rigging, stage management, etc.
• Prior experience reviewing contracts and deal types
• Understanding of GAP accounting practices

Physical Demands/Working Environment:

• Working environment is fast-paced and often loud and stressful
• Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing, lifting, bending, reaching, and working on your feet
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs
