Sinclair Broadcast Group seeks a motivated and experienced leader to join Sinclair Technology Partners Site Reliability Engineering group focused on Network Services. The individual will develop, integrate, and support key enterprise infrastructure solutions as our Technical Manager.


• Provide enterprise-wide system and network support for Sinclair’s broadcast environment
• Use of metrics and data for baseline analysis, capacity trending, and alerting
• Provide coordination for Kanban based Agile project management focused on SRE projects across the Sinclair family of companies
• Troubleshoot enterprise-wide issues working with other SRE team members and internal stakeholder groups
• Create and manage system documentation, including configurations, backup procedures, and the implementation of a CI/CD approach to Enterprise Management
• Manage and schedule patches and updates across the enterprise environment
• Participate in the definition and implementation of system components including new internal and external cloud architectures and software-defined networking solutions
• Technologies supported in this high availability 24/7 environment include Windows and Linux, VMWare/Nutanix/Openstack, traditional and virtual networking stacks, L4/7 Firewalls, MPLS circuits, SDN solutions.
• The ability and understanding to drive automated solutions for repetitive problems and tasks to include enterprise-wide configuration management
• Implement and provide ongoing project-level guidance through Agile project management methodologies

• Coaching and mentoring team members for personal and professional growth
• The ability to set and manage SMART goals for the organization aligned with higher-level business outcomes
• Implementation of and delivery on SLAs for internal customers
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong belief in a communicative and collaborative environment
• Experience establishing and revising of information systems policies and procedures
• Drive and participate in monthly operational reviews to systematically improve the state of the enterprise environment

Experience, Skills & Competencies:

• A bachelor’s degree or masters in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related field
• 5+ years working in a dynamic, agile environment aligned with ITIL concepts
• 4+ years of relevant systems/network/cloud analysis/support experience
• 4+ years of relevant experience directly administering and supporting cloud enterprise environments
• 4+ years relevant enterprise security experience with a focus on automation of those activities
• 3+ years of relevant experience with an industry-standard program language, python, go, etc.
• 5+ years of experience automating IT processes with a focus on configuration management
• Deep understanding of enterprise networking, dynamic routing, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP, L4/L7 Firewalls, NVF, VNF, and security-focused architectures
• Experience with enterprise-class virtualization platforms – VMware/Nutanix/Openstack
• Experience troubleshooting networks both traditional and virtual including performance, configuration, and application/end-user experience
• Experience with stand-alone, converged and hyperconverged infrastructure and related network solutions
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision making
• Ability to quickly grasp technical issues and offer solutions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Outgoing and enthusiastic personality
• A professional business demeanor
• Customer-focused attitude and desire to interface directly with end-user clients
• Ability to work as a team member putting the needs of the organization over personal

Preferred candidates would also meet one or more of the following criteria:

• AWS/Azure/GCP Certifications – Networking Exam is a plus
• VMware/Nutanix/Openstack Certifications
• Cisco/Juniper/Ansible Certifications
• Knowledge in a scripting language like Python, Go, .NET, Powershell
