What part will you play?

Warner Bros. Consumer Products Inc. seeks a Manager, Sales & Retail Business Development (Walmart) for the Sales & RBD department. The Manager, Sales & Retail Business Development will work with the Director to develop and execute the strategic sales plans for Walmart. The Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of initiatives to drive retail placement and maximize our brands. The manager will serve as the retail expert to key national accounts, licensees, and, as requested, provide information, direction, and consultation with the goal to drive incremental sales across WBCP licensed product categories.

• Work with the Director on developing business plans, strategies and revenue goals for the retail account plans.
• Develop opportunistic sales strategies in collaboration with licensee’s and retailers.
• Identify white space opportunities to drive incremental revenue.
• Communicate WBCP licensing and marketing strategies to retail.
• Aid in the negotiating and support the implementation of retail programs.
• Analyze program performance and return on the investment.
• Work in conjunction with the Director with appropriate retail personnel (e.g. buyers, marketing, planning).
• Organize and analyze retail sales data and information for Walmart and determine merchandise implications.
• Manage and maintain weekly team reports, recaps & sales team documents.
• Summarize retailer feedback to appropriate stakeholders.
• Construct deck pitch presentations in collaboration with (Category/Franchise/Marketing).
• Complete any ad hoc projects within the assigned timeline.

What do we require from you?

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in retail-related buying, product development and/or sales at a manufacturer, retailer or licensor. Entertainment industry experience recommended.
• Experience working with Walmart and Walmart’s Retail Link data system a plus.
• Strong knowledge of the licensing industry and of licensed merchandise across softlines, hardlines, and toys.
• Strong knowledge of the US-Based retail landscape, solution selling and marketing principles.
• Proven ability to organize and analyze data and information and develop actionable recommendations.
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of personnel within an organization.
• Proven and effective interpersonal skills and ability to develop relationships with personnel at all levels of retail organization and internally at WBCP.
• Strong computer skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Proven and effective presentation skills.
• Must have the ability to pay close attention to detail.
• Must have the ability to organize and schedule work effectively.
• Must have the ability to work well under time constraints and handle multiple tasks.
• Must be able to work independently, meet deadlines and demonstrate flexibility when faced with changing schedules or priorities.
• Minimum 30% of time spent traveling.
