The Journal & Courier in Lafayette, Ind., seeks a talented, experienced enterprise reporter to strengthen its depth and breadth of reporting. The position is strictly a news writing position, but will vary on topics based on need and developments in our community. The reporter will be expected to produce, on average, 2-4 stories -- all 1A centerpiece worthy -- per week. The stories will be both revelatory and solutions oriented, aimed at making Tippecanoe County a better place to live. The reporting will be focused on the people, trends, issues and needs of our community. The reporter will work closely with the J&C photographer to develop unique and engaging visuals for each story.
Professional reporting experience, as well as a strong grasp of open record laws and research skills are required.
