Job Description:

SiriusXM is seeking an experienced leader and analyst to join the management ranks of the Subscriber Reporting and Analysis team. The main analytical focus of the position will be to develop and maintain fully-integrated financial models illustrating short- and long-term performance metrics, ensure reporting and forecasting accurately identifies trends and future opportunities, and provide thought leadership on subscriber initiatives and reporting tools. Additionally, they will be responsible for cultivating relationships with numerous internal clients through consistent interaction and sharing of best practices, as well as being able to work with little or no direction and managing multiple projects in parallel.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist in developing and maintaining the financial models used for subscriber reporting, forecasting and long range planning:
Build subscriber forecast for individual partners and channels,
Incorporate actuals as available,
Work with department managers to understand assumptions underlying forecast,
Proactively suggest changes to improve efficiency of monthly and quarterly procedures.
Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly reports and summary schedules:
Prepare write­ups and commentary to senior management analyzing subscriber metrics,
Research and prepare monthly and quarterly variance analyses.
Manage relationship with IT to build, test and validate reporting infrastructure improvements and toolsets for all customer and subscriber metrics.
Create actionable reports for internal clients to help address business needs.
Respond to multiple ad hoc requests for information from different user groups.
Contribute to multiple cross-functional teams to ensure proper understanding of all metrics, reports and analyses.
Develop point-of-view on external interpretation of results and response.


Requirements:

Superior analytical and problem solving skills.
Mastery of Microsoft Excel.
Work experiences must demonstrate strong communication skills and an ability to develop strong relationships and partnerships with internal clients.
Must have a track record of aligning activities with business strategies and measuring impact on business results.
Must have experience working cross-functionally, successfully influencing others and implementing new strategies.
Must be capable of contributing expertise and leading efforts to use historical data to forecast future trends in customer/subscriber patterns.
Results oriented; shows significant initiative and is proactive.
Demonstrated ability to build consensus on findings/results.
Ability to interact independently with various user groups under minimal supervision.
Self-starter with initiative and desire to take ownership of responsibilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics or related field. MBA preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years analytical business experience including forecasting, reporting and financial modeling.
Experience in a subscription-based business preferred.
Must have legal right to work in the U.S.


Technical Skills:

Working knowledge of SQL, SAS and/or other database systems preferred.
Working knowledge of Hyperion Essbase, Cognos preferred.
