The Digital/Web Producer has a sound grasp of online journalism, a sense of urgency for breaking news and a compliment of web-knowledge, including experience posting text, video and pictures online using a content management system. This person is responsible for maintaining the daily flow of content to multiple digital platforms, including the desktop website, responsive website, mobile app and social media offerings. They are also responsible for monitoring all relevant social media sites. This is a high-pressure, deadline-focused position, which requires a self-starter, who is flexible and has the ability to multi-task. Schedule will likely include nights and possibly weekends.

30% Write news reports for all digital media platforms while complying with digital publishing standards, including AP Style guidelines and in-house style guidelines.
20% Manage and monitor station’s social media offerings.
20% Collaborate across multiple teams, including reporters, producers, photographers, etc.
20% Edit images and video to create engaging stories and social media posts.
10% Send push alerts to mobile platforms.
III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.
Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism or related field preferred.
Minimum of two years of experience working in a newsroom in an area that required writing or editing.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of the following preferred: Content management systems (CMS), HTML, CSS, Photoshop, iNews, Avid, Social media platforms, web analytics platforms
