WHBQ-TV, Fox 13 Memphis, is seeking a Manager of Content and Coverage and will be responsible for the following:
Works collaboratively with Managing Editor to develop daily content into engaging, process driven coverage on all platforms
Acts as Brand Development Manager working with the team to develop process driven news coverage and Active Live Storytelling
Leading participant in news editorial process and meetings
Oversees daily content execution on all platforms
Direct reports include Executive Producers, Producers, Digitial Content Manager, Digital Content Producers, Meteorologists and Sports Anchors/Reporters
Provides Vision and Direction for long term projects and oversees execution in collaboration with Managing Editor
Generates ideas for big-form coverage
Designs systems to make operation more efficient
Communicates with other departments to reinforce the brand of the news department
Fields staff issues and concerns
Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field required
