The GREE Game Studio develops native iOS and Android AAA games. The Studio's published titles have all been in the App Store’s top 10 grossing list. Our game portfolio includes Crime City, Modern War, Kingdom Age, and War of Nations. We are working on the several next-gen titles.
We are looking for an experienced customer insights professional. The Director of Customer Insights will be responsible for shaping the future of our customer initiatives. The position reports to the VP, Studio Operations.
Define, develop and manage processes to extract customer data from various sources and analyze data to derive deep insights of customer trends.
Conduct relevant and timely research that drives business outcomes in product development, marketing, and corporate strategy.
Collaborate with our BI and Marketing teams to provide key enriched insights leveraging both quantitative and qualitative consumer research.
Define and own the objectives of annual consumer and market research agendas for specific products.
Communicate insights to stakeholders to drive growth by providing guidance based on primary and secondary consumer data.
Act as point of contact/owner for a wide variety of marketing complex data analysis
Manage, coach, and develop staff to their potential
Manage research relationships with external vendors and internal partners REQUIREMENTS:
At least 7 years of experience in a custom primary research function on the client or vendor side, preferably in gaming .
Bachelor’s degree required, MBA /MS/PhD preferred
Expert project management skills including the ability to design and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines, organize and complete multiple projects efficiently and on time.
Excellent people/team management skills
Strong Passion for mobile gaming, especially free-to-play.
Demonstrated competency in designing and analyzing research to address business problems.
Strong analytical skills and exceptional problem solving abilities.
Good intuition with numbers and experience synthesizing disparate and sometimes contradictory learnings.
Experience in working cross functionally, leading teams to address key strategic issues.
Communication skills to provide actionable reporting via written and in person presentations. Must be able to clearly communicate results and conclusions to various constituencies at various levels of management.
High interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a diverse team and build cooperative, productive relationships with internal clients and vendors.
Experience with business intelligence analysis a plus.
Experience with analytics software tools like SPSS and SQL a plus. ATTRIBUTES:
Experience in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, including segmentation, attitude and usage studies, positioning research, ad testing, and customer experience
Exhibits broad market research experience in the design of complex market research projects
Experience defining the scope and issues for research/analytic initiatives, developing and executing project plans and managing multiple tasks simultaneously, experience leading cross-functional teams
Meticulous and detail-oriented. Strong ability to spot errors
Ability to structure and deliver presentations clearly, crisply, and compellingly. Excellent verbal and written skills
Self-starter with passion, energy, enthusiasm to drive results and affect meaningful change
Not afraid to get hands dirty with data, but sees the bigger picture as well
