Job Description:

The NFL Media group is seeking a Digital Line Producer to produce video content for NFL NOW, a new 24-7 digital-based channel launching in August of 2014, providing personalized content to users through a variety of platforms. This position requires a creative thinker who is also deadline oriented. The candidate must have extensive experience producing in traditional broadcast control rooms and also a firm understanding of digital video production and philosophies.


• Apply high-level creative, journalistic production skills in developing video content for NFL Now

• Responsible for formatting and line producing daily content for NFL Now.

• Work with all NFL Network talent on a daily basis.

• Ability to supervise a production staff.

• Oversee and coordinate the activities of both the technical and onscreen aspects of NFL Now video content

• Work closely with other members of the production team in order to understand the desired look and feel for individual video content

• Meet aggressive video production goals as set by the Vice President of Content

• Contribute new content ideas to match consumption patterns on NFL Now platforms

• With any content that is created, be mindful of the right way to distribute that content and how it needs to be repackaged to work in mobile and social environments

• Maintain video production standards on all original NFL Now content


• 6-8 years working in sports news video production required. 4+ years line-producing broadcast television required.

• Strong interest and understanding of NFL Media properties and content production

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Broadcasting, Radio/TV/Film, or equivalent work experience is preferred

• Solid understanding of robotic camera and green-screen technology is required

• Must possess a demonstrated ability to consistently meet tight deadlines and work collaboratively across digital and broadcast platforms in a fast-paced environment

• Must be able to prioritize and service multiple requests, demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills, remain calm under pressure, and show a willingness to learn and embrace new technologies

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook is necessary

• Strong knowledge of football past and present.
