Freeman is looking for an experienced Audio Visual Technician . The role of the Audio Visual Technician is to perform basic day-to-day functions as part of warehouse and showsite preparation and production. Responsibilities include:
Warehouse duties cover prepping shows, pulling gear for orders, loading trucks and delivering gear to showsite in a company vehicle.
Coordinating the incoming and outgoing equipment orders.
Ensuring equipment order fulfillment, packaging and labeling are accurate and in accordance with the Pick Lists.
Following procedures pertaining to preventative equipment loss measures.
Interfacing with the Sales staff, Account Executives, Production Managers, Department Managers and the Sr. Audio/Visual Engineer concerning event production and operational procedures.
Perform general maintenance and upkeep on high-end audio/visual equipment in the warehouse.
At Show-site duties could range from performing the following:
Exhibit Floor Coordinator, Meeting Room Coordinator, Managing Showsite Union Labor, completing all payroll workbooks and daily Union labor sheets, Audio/Visual Assistant, System Tech, and Equipment Coordinator.
Include activities such as load-in, load-out, install, dismantle, system engineering, console and equipment operation and client relation.
Working directly with Inventory Control to ensure complete equipment coverage on shows as well as scheduling and pulling equipment.
Coordinating and/or assisting both technical and labor crews.
Between 2 and 5 years of related experience
Working knowledge of audio, video, and lighting
Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills
