WFAA Dallas, a TEGNA company, has an exciting opportunity for a New Business Sales Executive to join our dynamic and forward-thinking sales team.
This role is focused on business development within Dallas and the state of Texas. This position will take advantage of WFAA's unique Texas footprint in addition to first in class product offerings to uncover partnerships with large companies located in Dallas and Texas.
The ideal candidate will showcase his or her strategic and entrepreneurial expertise by building collaborative relationships and providing customer solutions to businesses through an integrated suite of media platforms, including broadcast television, OTT, digital, and other emerging products.
This in-demand position requires an energetic and strategic entrepreneur who will champion WFAA and our Texas footprint. As a New Business Sales Executive, you will use a consultative selling approach to build relationships with business and have a great opportunity to sell a broad set of solutions from our extensive market-leading portfolio.
Be accountable for linear and digital revenue performance: working both strategically and tactically with other team members within WFAA and TEGNA.
Create innovative multimedia recommendations that integrate proof of performance strategies, indicating engagement and interaction between the client message and potential customers.
Network nationally, regionally, and locally to stay abreast of emerging trends within media and category verticals.
Minimum 3+ years' experience and an existing record of new business success.
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in marketing or advertising.
Sales or marketing experience in television, digital or media industry preferred.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills required.
Excellent communicator and strong presentation skills.
Must have solid time management and organizational skills; candidate must be able to work in a fast paced, high-pressured, evolving environment.
Proficiency with Excel, Word, Wide Orbit Sales, Wide Orbit Traffic- (preferred) and qualitative data.
