Job Description:

The role of the Sr. Operations Business Analyst is responsible for working with business partners, stakeholders and other team members to identify and understand highly complex business processes and requirements in order to recommend and support the daily Business Operations Centers activities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for gathering, compiling and synthesizing information with regard to business or technology processes and/or systems. Consistently demonstrates in-depth knowledge of core business processes.
• Responsible for producing functional specifications as well as other deliverables related to operational process or best practices.
• Leads customer and business partners in the process of analyzing business requirements aligned with business and IT strategies.
• Provide professional customer service to business users in response to level 1 SNOW incidents within established service levels.
• Identify, investigate, understand and provide resolution to issues that impact day-to-day operations or projects.
• Provides cross functional and business knowledge to develop business system and process alternatives.
• Knowledge and understanding of complete end to end Operational processes.
• Identify and resolve data quality issues.
• Perform data validation activities
• Perform business related RCAs and create solid business cases.
• Assist in internal/external control audits.
• Perform data clean-up activities.
• Perform data entry activities for operational business processes.
• Perform analysis around key business processes and manual workarounds.
• Create & maintain departmental reporting.
• Create documentation such as standard operating procedures, process flows, and business requirements.
• Assist with user acceptance testing preparation and execution.
• Creates test cases and test scripts for support of user acceptance testing.
• Establish and maintain relationships within the business or function.

Qualifications:

• Accounting and / or MIS degree desired
• Minimum 5 years of analytical experience
• Must be multi-task and detail oriented.
• Effective organizational skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite of applications, including Projects, Visio & SQL
• Strong verbal and written skills.
• Work well under pressure and with limited direction.
