The Principal Enterprise Coach will lead the transformation of Enterprise Technology from project to product thinking. S/he will work throughout the organization to shape, guide, and support efforts to focus on outcomes instead of outputs, prioritize value creation for our stakeholders, enable ET to thrive in uncertainty through problem-solving, and drive a focus on team empowerment and leadership development. The Principal Enterprise Coach will partner at all levels to influence the healthy adoption of processes and practices as a strategic instrument of culture change.
Core Areas of Expertise:
Customer Centric Thinking and Product Management Discipline
Drive the adoption strategy and rollout for enabling customer-centric practices for creating organizational value, including: design thinking, outcome-based roadmaps and planning, optimization of a stakeholder engagement and communication approach, and institutionalizing the use of data to measure customer feedback and inform ongoing investment decisions into our products.
Lead product management discipline standards across Enterprise Technology and drive key initiatives to enable stronger product management practices.
Coach the organization to show and use more understanding from a human perspective including practices such as empathy mapping, radical listening, and contextual inquiry.
Partner with senior leaders to enact and sustain a high performing Product Management organization, including the refinement of role definitions and competencies across the Product job family.
Create and sustain a contextual learning roadmap for the Product Management discipline.
Create and support Customer-centric Communities of Practice across the organization.
Serve as a liaison to CAPG product COE to ensure alignment and exchange of effective practices and learnings.
Leadership Development and Coaching
Participate in the development and execution of a leadership development roadmap for Enterprise Technology reflective of ET leader persona attributes and behaviors.
Incorporate principles and practices of Agile, lean, product thinking into leadership development approach.
Establish timebound 1:1 leadership coaching relationships.
Assess and expand Lean Thinking techniques across Enterprise Technology.
Champion a campaign to drive a culture of continuous improvement.
Introduce leading-edge product delivery frameworks and approaches that can strengthen the value creation ability of the organization at scale. Identify and implement relevant metrics to drive continuous improvement in lean delivery capabilities.
Leverage industry-leading organizational assessment instruments to develop and help lead transformation strategies. Partner with senior leaders to review contextual assessment results and proposed recommendations for change and improvement across multiple dimensions, including: strategy management, structure, people, processes and technologies.
Learning, Coaching, and Mentoring
Develop and deliver targeted training and workshops to teams and leaders across organization. Includes instructional design, content development, testing and feedback of learning sessions.
Facilitate the creation of Communities of Excellence across key disciplines.
Develop and refine high-performing leadership and team development approaches, including workshops and conversations that can be applied across a broad range of contexts.
Lead train-the-trainer sessions to further build learning capability of the organization at scale.
Support Enterprise Technology as a large-group facilitator. Design and facilitate sessions that focus on solving complex business problems using open meeting techniques (e.g. Open Space).
Incorporate and experiment with social collaboration techniques to foster innovative thinking across the organization.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of industry related professional experience and education
10+ years of working experience in Lean and Product Management roles
Working knowledge and experience with multiple technology development methodologies. (e.g. waterfall, agile, iterative, scaling)
Working expertise of agile and lean practices, frameworks, methods, and mindset
Working experience facilitating, mentoring, training and/or offering professional coaching
Ability to model the behaviors of a growth mindset and learning culture across the organization.
Working experience in an Agility training / coaching role creating Agile training/workshop material
Working experience developing and leading Agile transformation strategies
Working experience in one or more of the following Agile methods or frameworks: Scrum, Extreme Programming (XP), Kanban, LeSS, SAFe, etc.
Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), or Pragmatic Marketing certifications
Strong presentation and facilitation skills
Masters degree in Computer Science
Higher-level Agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), Certified Scrum Trainer (CST), Certified Enterprise Coach (CEC)
Professional coaching certifications (ACC, PCC or professional equivalent)
Experience with or certification in Organizational Relationship Systems Coaching (ORSC)
