Job Description:

The Human Resources Coordinator will perform HR administrative duties in support of San Antonio Express-News property. The incumbent will assist the Site HR Leader with recruitment, maintaining employee records, assist with payroll processing, new hire orientation, and provide administrative support. The incumbent will be responsible for the preparation and disbursement of Payroll in accordance with pay policy across multiple groups using ADP Payroll Service and ADP time and attendance systems. The coordinator is primarily responsible for ensuring that all time is entered correctly into eTime System.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintain all HR files.
• Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, conducting background checks, and generating offer letters.
• Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events and maintain agendas.
• Perform new hire orientation as required.
• Prepare documents and spreadsheets for all Texas Newspaper properties and submit to Coporate.
• Check all employee time sheets for compliance with pay policies, state and regulatory requirements.
• Review trial registers for accuracy of wages and correct errors.
• Prepare various payroll reports through ADP GlobalView and eTime.
• Answer inquiries regarding salary and employment verification.
• Respond to employee inquiries and requests regarding Payroll and HR matters.
• Lead, drive, and help execute HR initiatives and projects, such as Health Fair, Blood Drives, Employee Engagement, etc.
• Assist in all aspects of Applicant Processing
• Assist with New Hire and Process Paperwork (I-9, W4, Emergency Contact, Payroll Papers, New Hire Packet). and input new hire information into Personnel system
