The Role:

Live Nation is looking for an exceptional Lead Software Engineer who has experience in building highly scalable web applications. This is an entrepreneurial role on a small but growing team with the resources, exposure and customer base of the world’s leading live entertainment company. You will have a significant influence on our technical strategy by helping to define and drive the system architecture and spearhead the best practices in our organization. Ideal candidate would have experience leading application development involving design, planning, estimation, documentation, communication, collaboration, mentorship, launch, and support.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable distributed systems using AWS serverless technologies.
• Contribute to entire development lifecycle including requirements gathering, design, debugging, testing and deployment.
• Lead architectural discussions and present technical recommendations.
• Employ engineering best proactive including code standards, documentation and continuous integration.
• Participate in code reviews, pair programming, helping peers and creating technical documentation

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
• 5+ years of experience with designing and delivering API & Web Services.
• 2+ years of experience building serverless applications on AWS using Lambda, API Gateway, Kinesis, SQS, S3, RDS etc.
• 2+ years of experience with container platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with managing AWS Production environments across multiple AZ’s, multiple geographies, IAM roles, Route53, ELB’s, VPC peering etc.
• Solid understanding and experience with object oriented and functional programming with Python 3.
• Solid understanding of service oriented and micro-service architecture.
• Deep understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with software development methodology using Agile Scrum/Kanban etc.
• AWS Developer Certification is a plus.
• GraphQL experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
