Job Description:

I. Job Summary | Major goals and objectives.

The Sales Assistant provides administrative/executive support to the Publisher for Allrecipes, as well as supports 2 salesepeople in the NY office. This position coordinates scheduling, handles contact with internal and external contacts, makes travel arrangements, and maintains calendars and other administrative support. The position supports the sellers with proposals and meeting preparation and their administrative needs. Additionally, this position coordinates department events, manages expense reports, acts as the department office manager and provides occasional support to the marketing department.

• Supports sales staff in NYC with filling out proposals, preparing for sales calls, organizing meeting prep, and providing support in marketing requests
• 30%
• Schedules and maintains calendar of appointments, meeting and travel itineraries, and coordinates related arrangements. Arranges meetings and conferences. Submits expense reports in a timely manner. Answers and screens telephone calls, takes messages, provides information or redirects calls as appropriate. Performs other administrative duties as assigned. Supports management in forecasting reports, quarterly sales review documents, etc.

• Supports department staff on as-needed basis (special projects, reservations of meeting rooms, special assignments, handling some travel arrangements, filing/routing of contracts), and marketing event activations

Education:


• College degree

Experience:

• Two to three years experience working in fast-paced media environment with related administrative experience.

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Microsoft Office- PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Outlook, DART Sales Manager
• Must be discreet and able to handle confidential materials.
• Must be capable of exercising good judgment in making decisions and able to work independently.
• Must be anticipatory and possess good problem solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
