The Digital Account Manager position is a pivotal newly created role, reporting to the Head of Digital Account Management. This person will be a key player in the development of our digital business helping to build relationships, processes, and customer business. Once a deal has been negotiated/re-negotiated by the Digital Licensing Team, the Digital Account Manager will support the Head of Digital Account Management in managing the ongoing customer relationship of that particular account.

The key objective of this role will be to work with our digital customers to deliver the Fox corporate strategy for a dynamic and highly commercial digital home entertainment market in the UK. This is a highly exciting “green shoots” opportunity to play a vital role in the long term success of the business.

The candidate must have the experience and authority to advise the customer on how to create and drive their digital business. In addition, they will use data-driven insight to make their communications more personal, timely, relevant and effective. This person must be highly adaptable and be able to manage a broad range of stakeholders across the UK business and LA home office.

Key Responsibilities

• To build strong, long-lasting relationships with customers by long term planning and understanding of the customers’ business in addition to solid knowledge of the competitive market in which the retailer operates
• Develop, drive and deliver account specific growth plans. Specifically, revenue goals, Account P&L, key national and customer sales initiatives to advance the accounts performance
• Work with a number of key stakeholders such as Marketing, LA, Finance
• Responsibility for the financial activity on the account and delivering Fox no 1 studio performance (by owning performance and business planning)
• Work in achieving digital insight and excellence to exceed customer expectations
• Develop relationships with key senior contacts at all accounts
• Contribute to digital joint business planning for key customers and Fox
• Work with Head of Digital Account Management to drive and deliver Fox FY18 digital growth initiatives
• Development of a ‘Super-Seven’ annual account planning process
• Own incremental opportunities & drive a non-editorial focus
• Responsibility for developing and implementing joint business plans, measurement and benchmarking performance, troubleshooting performance gaps, driving and nurturing winning initiatives. Requires alignment, commitment and support with key stakeholders to execute on behalf of clients’ needs
• Strive to implement industry leading initiatives to shape and influence the market
• Collaborate with DCM on cultivating and supporting market relationships within each client/account and exploit each title/programme

Financial Delivery

• Delivery of contribution targets across all areas of the business within the channel and working collaboratively across all other channels in the business to ensure delivery of targets at a total business level
• Management of KPI’s within each account P&L in the channel within agreed tolerances. KPI’s to include % contribution, average price, £ contribution and contra revenue
• Create a rolling 6 month activity plan for each account in order to deliver targets

Strategic Channel & Account Management

• Develop a deep understanding of all accounts’ needs within the channel
• Create cross functional understanding and engagement around delivery of customer business plans which align to both channel and retailer strategies
• Develop industry leading relationships with key contacts across all accounts within the channel
• Develop a contact matrix that is alive across all key stakeholders in both Fox and customer accounts
• Annual Re-negotiation of key digital accounts
• Along with the Head of Digital Account Management, collaborate with Head of Digital Licensing (UK) to provide any required support during re-negotiation of account Terms

Commercial Consultation

• Assist the Head of Digital Account Management in leading the commercial point of view across the entire business on all relevant matters
• Provide commercial consultation to all functions of the home entertainment business on channel relevant topics for example pre-order best practice
• Provide a commercial view on all product and promotional launches throughout the business clock




• Degree level or equivalent preferred



• Digital business experience, with substantial experience in digital internet retailing or marketing
• Excellent strategic negotiator with a proven track record in interpreting and maximising commercial contract terms
• Must have knowledge/experience in Account Management role dealing with Digital, Email Marketing, Content, SEO, Social Media etc.
• Strong commercial knowledge
• Strong analytical skills with respect to finance, business affairs, and business development
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and to prioritise successfully
• An excellent communicator at all levels, with the ability to facilitate successful interaction across multiple divisions and a wide variety of corporate entities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Strong leadership skills
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
• Solution-oriented and innovative - able to work in a relatively unstructured environment, operating with a high degree of autonomy yet remaining accountable for required deliverables and outcomes
• Pro-active self-starter
• Must be able to demonstrate a recent solid track record in managing and developing complex accounts; strong organisation and planning skills are required
• Understands traditional retail and can demonstrate negotiation skills within this arena
